dex_911
Hey guys, quick question regarding when to remove casualties. Do I have to declare which targets ALL my units will shoot at before any dice are rolled? For example, if I am staring down the board at a powerful unit and decide to try and destroy it, do I nominate which of my units will open fire before my opponent makes any saves? Or do you decide the outcome one squad at a time? Should I open fire with my first squad and do infact destroy that enemy unit are my other squads free to shoot at something else? If you guys could point me in the right direction in the rule book or just help me out it would be much appreciated. Cheers, Dex Ps - Another example, if an enemy tank is blocking line of sight of one of my tactical squads, can I declare my preadator shoot at that tank first in an attempt to destroy it (say that it annihilated it) thus allowing my tactical squad to shoot as the tank is no longer alive thus not blocking line of sight? SeattleDV8
BRB pg. 15 outlines the steps you take in your shooting phase. You shoot one unit at a time, checking LOS and range. The examples you gave in the latter part of your post are correct. You only declare the target when the unit is shooting.
