zarnak21
I've see a fair few pictures of differnt shads of yellow from GW publications and after some discussiions in the BA forum about the helmet colour (which I'm doing white) I've started the first of the squad. First off White undercoat Wash with badab black Touch up with astronomica grey then white (so the yelllow shows up well) Sunburst yellow over all areas where it is going to be yellow including the black wash in the rececces. This make the yellow look shaded. Shaded with black wash again Then highlighted up to near white. Battle damage is stippled black and then chipped mitherl silver. I may after use a brown wash This is as far as I have got. I'm realy just testing out the yellow. What do you think? Middle of Badab war in need of major refit. Brother Iencub
Yeah now i can see them. Looks good and the weathering on the arm is beutiful. I don't like the shoulderpad as much, because the badge looks like it's been put to far to the right, and the checkers are ziggzaggy. Then again, it's a pretty hard to do badge. Good job. zarnak21
So I recon I'm about 50% complete on this now. I realy went to town on the battled look. . . Have I gone too far..? My thinking is that when fighting other marines as he would of during the badab wars (this is the period I'm working too) he'd be rather beaten up. Iencub - do you think this is looking better? I'm going to add a bit of dusting (as I call it) around the legs. Like What I did for my BA terminators. Basically a watered down dry brush of grey and may be brown. Still to do: Finish sheild, Power fist, Eagle, Crux etc. Still a way to go. I realy don't fancy doing any more checkers to be honest. . .. . . . chaplainmikey
Thats pretty awesome! The battle damage on the model looks great and the chapter badge looks amazing. You've really captured the chapter during a long war and without armour replacements. You've done a great job because that is one hell of a nice looking terminator. Cheers, Mike. zarnak21
Thanks mike. Some more pics if your interested As you can see its almost done just the white to get a bit better on the helmet, the purity seal and the wing on the gun Plus finish the base- Which is actualy made of a slither of timber that came of a 6x4 plank Just thought I'd try something different. Seems to have an intersting texture. What do you think? I did the fist black because I find large areas of white a bit hard to weather well. Now shall I do some more... ? DutchKillsRambo
Wow really great stuff. Makes mine look like crap lol. The final chapter badge really pops I like it. Are you planning on doing a whole force of Lamenters or just a few? Either way keep up the good work!
