IMO I'd go back and give the force sword more colour variation on the blade/lightning swirly and maybe add some chapter iconography. What recipe did you use for the yellow, by the way? Iyanden Darksun(foundation yellow) Devlan Mud wash Carefully re-apply the Darksun as a highlight But I'm now thinking about doing an extreme highlight by mixing a little bit of bleached bone to the darksun. @Kurgan: cheers for sharing the link but I'm really trying hard to do more freehand were ever possible and the problem with doing the chapter icon on the pad is that its the Mk 6 one with studs on, so I'll have to paint a small one on the knee pad. I spray the base black Then Scab Red 50/50 Scab Red/Red Gore then I add a bit of Blood Red Then Badab Wash And then I put a bit of Gloss Vanish over it to seal it in as well as give it that wet look.
