Infidel
So, now I'm easing out of the work mood I've got time to toy around with phasing out my old dodgy count-as daemon force with some actual daemonic units. So, first up, a Slaanesh Soul Grinder. I posted a little while ago regarding using Eldar vehicle part to build a Grinder but I really didnt get anything satisfactory so i decided to build a custom KoS instead. The parts are: Nightbringer, Lord of Change wings, head of a female inquisitor from the larger inquisitor miniatures. I carved out the muscle definition on the Nightbringer and sculpted over its body, joined the wings to its body as if it was a pair of limbs and then replace the face of the Nightbringer with the face of the female inquisitor. At the same time, the eldar jetbike parts I ordered had arrived, and I was thinking of converting the WIP KoS to a floating Soul Grinder. I've had a chat with my mates and they don't think there's any ruling difficulty as long as the base size accurately represent that of a Grinder and I put the Maw Cannon and Harvester gun on it. What do you guys feel about the ruling of a floating, legless "walker"? Or should i just stick to building a KoS with wings for hands?? dark_elf
if you play in competitive circles, it isn't just the base size you need to worry about. you also need a model that is roughly the same size. if you were to use multiple jetbikes as the base and keep it the same as an SG i personally wouldn't have an issue with it.
