Schertenleib
Was talking to a buddy of mine and he said something I wanted to check out before I got myself in trouble. If I have a WGBG packing dual CCW's ie twin thunder hammers, two power weapons, two swords, etc.... Is he still carrying the bolter or bolt pistol that he normally would? Can he fire it in the shooting faze and then assault with dual ccw in the assault faze? Nurgle's Chosen
They don't have any guns that you didnt buy them. Additionally, if they're carrying 2 close combat weapons of any type, that satisfies the restriction placed on them by the armory of 1 single handed weapon and 1 two handed weapon, OR 2 single handed weapons. So for instance you would be able to give them the normal power fist(single hand) and storm bolter(2 handed), but not another close combat weapon. Make sense? Only the newer marines have things like pistols in addition to their normal kit. Coverfire
But can you for the sake of arguing purchase a bolter, bolt pistol, Close Combat Weapon for a wolf guard champ or are you limited to the two weapons. I would say that you are limited, but also see nothing to go again loading up an entire arsenal and looking like rambo. Actually, I kind of want to model a space marine with as many weapons as I can now... Grey Mage
'Two, just two... only two. Its a listed restriction in the armory. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/171555-rule-question/#findComment-2027524 Share on other sites
Bran Scalphunter
And you can't have 2 of the same type CCW on any SW model besides the Iron Priest. The Armory says specifically that you cannot purchase duplicates of items in the Armory. So how does your WGBG have 2 fists or 2 swords? :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/171555-rule-question/#findComment-2028568 Share on other sites

Quillen
Actaully, the only way to get the second attack for off hand weapon is to have a second of the same type. WHich is a lame rule, but they did it to nerf down marine armies. So doing 2 Thunder hammers would let you get his base attacks and plus one for the off hand. Add in a wolf pelt and that is like 6 thunder hammer attacks on the defence and charge. If you use him right that is like 10 kills in one full turn of the game. Still awefully expencesive. And as above your Thunder Hammers take up the weapon slots.
