sonofwaranddeath
Ok so my first painted Salamander Termie. Cypher 102
Is there any highlighting on the helmet or did it get washed out by the camera? It may be the picture but it looks kind of flat. The rest is good. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/171681-my-first-salamander/#findComment-2029450 Share on other sites
sonofwaranddeath
No the helmet still needs some highlights. should I go with gray or white? Thanks for the comments guys! Cypher 102
The best luck I've had with highlighting black is codex gray. If it ends up looking to heavy handed as tends to happen I hit it with black wash to tone it back down. Kronk
Agree on the helmet. A lighter gray will look nice. Also, the skull on the right arm (hammer arm) could use some color. Otherwise, decent job, dude. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/171681-my-first-salamander/#findComment-2029593 Share on other sites
Bannus
Codex or Shadow Grey works well. I personally use Shadow Grey on my Sallies - I think it works better with the green (but that is just my opinion).
