Death watch

It used to be on GW's website, but I can no longer find it....

It was also posted in WD as well as one of the old "Chapter Approved " books. There's not much in it, maybe 2-3 pages if i recall.

I'll try and give you specific numbers on the chapter approved and WD. However, I would suggest you do a google search of "Deathwatch Kill-team PDF", and you should get lucky and find a copy..

The Deathwatch PDF's available apply to previous editions of the game and aren't compatable with 5th Ed; i.e., the rules in the PDF need to be used with the 4th Ed Codex Space Marines and not the current 5th Ed codex. From a 5th Ed point of view, Space Marine Sternguard are Deathwatch minus the suspensor mounted heavy bolter.

However, if you really want a copy of the PDF, e-mail me.

I believe they are out of date now, along with the Relictors, which I really enjoyed playing. Apart from the Blood Angels list in WD, valid army lists are only in codex form, though the supplements are mostly out of date also, i.e. Codex Eye of Terror. I am not entirely sure where that stands.

The old DW PDF rules are no long available because, as was stated earlier, they are outright broken.

The best stand-in for DW these days is Sternguard. They have pretty much all of the old DW tricks anyway, plus several new ones. In virtually every respect (rules-wise) they are better than the old DW. All the Sternguard truly lack are suspensors.

I don't wanna sound dumb, but what is a suspensor?
Game mechanically it functioned to give the heavy bolters the equivalent of 'Relentless'. In the fluff it is either a small anti-grav device, an inertial dampener, or some combination of the two designed of offset the mass of heavy objects.

Hey, thanks for the input. That has me thinkinking that I might do a DW hero that counts as Pedro Cantor. I don't wanna sound dumb, but what is a suspensor?

A Heavy Boter could be fire as normal, or if the model moves it can be fired as an 18" Assault 3 weapon. Grey Knights are the only ones still using suspensors for their power armour mounted psycannons.
