WG Vrox
So how’s this for a new twist for a house rule. Something like Speed Chess You both agree to a total number of minutes to play a full game. Each player is required to apply their total number of minutes divided anyway they choose amoungst a total of 6 turns. After each player in secrete writes down how they going to apply their minutes, they then write them down on a shared time sheet. Each player is then allowed to play their turn with the minutes they choose for that turn. Dice down at the end of a turn when the buzzer sounds. Example On turn one Player A choose 15 minutes out of the total of 60 they agreed upon, he then gets 15 minutes to play his turn 1. Player B chooses 12 minutes for his turn 1 and would get the12 minutes on his first turn. For Turn 2 15 Min Player A 12 Min Player B Turn 3 10 Min Player A 10 Min Player B Turn 4 10 Min Player A 10 Min Player B Turn 5 5 min Player A 8 Min Player B Turn 6 5 Min Player A 8 Min Player B Pause for rules queries ~Maybe setting a time limit on dice rolling and wound allocations and casualty picks, nothing that has to be timed, but something like 5 seconds per choice, or whatever works best. ________________________ This is more me writing down a quick thought, if anyone wants to add to it or thinks of smoother way, please feel free to add or comment on the idea. I think the time limit would add some very interesting tactical decisions. For them Librarians out there, Not trying to change anyone’s rules here,,, just a bit of a different twist ok, so put down that 80 pound book nice and easy, that’s better. Grey Mage
Sounds like alot of fun. Something to try, but only with a good friend. You know if you use one of those chess clocks your opponent could stop your time while they did things like select casualties etc... that way for you it was just dice rolls and decisions. LPetersson
I like it... You also have to think tactically about not having too much time at the end in case the game ends and you still had lots of time left...
