Lednera
Hi guys I am working on making a Deathwatch Kill-Team using some homegrown rules I found some were on the net updated to 5th edition style balance the question is what is better for an apothecary a power weapon, power fist or thunder hammer? I think the picture below might help figure the question out a bit any suggestions are welcomed. http://lh6.ggpht.com/_qCmK0ERNgW4/SkWl2RfD3OI/AAAAAAAAAD4/VgGTAJP4iXE/s400/DSC00478.JPG Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/172035-converting-a-plastic-apothecary-to-be-a-deathwatch-apothecar/ Share on other sites

Xavier Targhost
Sweet :P i myself have two apothecarys one with power sword and the other with a power fist... but then there is the part of equiping the apothecary in the new codex... where it states only veterans may have gear... i would like to inklude him as a veteran too? but maby with the DW rules you have he can have gear like the rest? otherwise id go for the thunderhammer myself.. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/172035-converting-a-plastic-apothecary-to-be-a-deathwatch-apothecar/#findComment-2033562 Share on other sites
Hubernator
Neat  I suggest twisting the arms so the hands are facing downwards. Might give it an effect of importance Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/172035-converting-a-plastic-apothecary-to-be-a-deathwatch-apothecar/#findComment-2033718 Share on other sites
Lednera
@ Hubernator: Both arms? Left Arm or Right Arm? and straight down in same pose or moving it at an angle? Hubernator
Both down, so they're closer to the waist. It'd work well for the Narthecium, not sure about the power sword. Some pics would help with that :cuss Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/172035-converting-a-plastic-apothecary-to-be-a-deathwatch-apothecar/#findComment-2034423 Share on other sites
Dark Armada
Can't anything be used in the Reductor arm? i mean, on the model his hand is technically free, as the Reductor is mounted on the forearm. I have a Black Templar Apothecary that I use in some battles (as it is expensive points-wise, otherwise i use a standard one) that has two Thunder Hammers; it looks AMAZING and also has the +1A for twinned 'exotic' weapons! :) Win-Win situation!
