Now I dislike the original model as I dont like the feeble way Cassius is holding his Crozius plus my general dislike for metal models so I decided to kitbash. This is the first Marine Kitbash I have been mroe than 80% happy with so I thought I would share it. HVNSNTSOLDIER Posted July 4, 2009 Share Posted July 4, 2009 Very cool kitbash dude. My only gripe is the helmet and how it's possitioned to look at the Crozius. It almost looks like he's staring at it like a Deathskull ork looks into his favorite shiny bit, "ooooh, pretty, shiny... B) ". Doesn't he also go without a helmet as well? waaanial00 Posted July 5, 2009 Author Share Posted July 5, 2009 Thanks for the kind comments. @HVSNTSOLDIER - The looking at the Crozius was at first supposed to be honouring the Emperor, it looked a little silly but because of how wide the helmet is I realised that it was either looking at the Crozius or the combi flamer. As to Cassius going without Helmet, I have run out of interesting helmetless heads as I used most of them on my Sternguard. I also like painting the skull colour, which you can see below. @Rahvell - Thanks for pointing that out. For some insane reason I thought it looked better when I built it but when I started painting it looked dumb as you pointed out. I have twisted it around now. Here is how he is looking after a little bit of paint. I dont have time to do the Black justice before Tuesday so it will be left for when I have more time. I will have a chance to paint the Crimson Fist on the Left shoulder guard but not much else. Any advice on how to make the black look stunning is welcome.
