igotsmeakabob!!
So, quick question. If an Independent Character begins the game with a unit of Space Marine scouts, can he infiltrate and move using Scouts with them? I'm guessing not, unless the IC himself has the Scouts and Infiltrator rules... but I just need some validation here. edit: Some page citations would help too. Ideaus
no as you said he need the infiltrator/scout rule himself or teh unit will lose the ability, pg 48 of the BRB under heading special rules. "when an IC joins a unit it might have a different special rule to the unit. Unless specified in teh rule itselfs, the unit's special rules do not conferred upon the character and the character spec rule do not transfer to the unit" and infiltrator is one specificaly mentioned that does not confer. hope that helps Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/172722-independent-characters-and-scoutsinfiltrator-units/#findComment-2041215 Share on other sites
Legatus
You could also go to page 74 and 75, where the universal Special rules are explained. Among those rules is "infiltrate", and it is marked with an asterisk (*), which, as page 74 explains, means that this special rule is lost if a character joins a unit and either one does not has that special rule.
