They come if he launches a black crusaide, but other then that they are own their own, and do not travel w/ Abby's fleet. He rarely knows where they are (if ever), nor cares. My Black Legion is way more loyal to my DP than Abaddon. They'll jump onto a good old fashioned Black Crusade, but its so they can grab as much glory and loot as possible.
