Balroth
I reacquired a chaos fleet I sold to a friend long ago (he was getting out and sold it back, ha) and found out, when added to my fiance's current Chaos fleet, she now has about 6000 points. Probably going to sell half of that off to some of my club members so they start playing too. Did you make an overall profit? ;) I love the game too. I was going to add a 2000 point Marine fleet to my 4000 of Imperials, but since deciding to collect 40k Ultramarines, I've decided to just go for a single Strike Cruiser and a squadron of Hunters. -B Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/172892-battlefleet-gothic/page/2/#findComment-2151895 Share on other sites
Seahawk
Did you make an overall profit? ;)Ha, yea. Not that I really wanted to, but he told me he wouldn't feel bad if it all just went in the garbage. I said I'd feel bad if I didn't give him anything for it, so for $71 I got my 2300pts of Chaos fleet, 15 metal bloodletters, a bloodthirster, Khârn, a Warmachine unit, various bits, and a double cheese from Burger King (hence the extra $1 :(). Plus really a ton of other stuff that I'm selling for him on ebay since he doesn't have an account. He just wanted it out of his place and I was happy to oblige ;). Balroth
Just think. You could have paid him with 71 cheesburgers... You got a good deal there obviously - I figured that it wasn't your intention to make profit, but thought I'd ask anyway. -B Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/172892-battlefleet-gothic/page/2/#findComment-2152881 Share on other sites
Akuro Adennyciia
I looooooooooove BFG. I'm going to end up using some alternative Mini's for my DIY chapter, and also have some expanded Eldar goodies. Now all I need to do is figure out points and such, because these models aren't going to work with Imperial rules. Little space for proper broadsides :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/172892-battlefleet-gothic/page/2/#findComment-2612675 Share on other sites
Demoulius
played only 1 game and loved every minute of it :P already looking forward to the next one :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/172892-battlefleet-gothic/page/2/#findComment-2612791 Share on other sites
Inquisitor_Lensoven
I love the game, but i'm biased. From a personal perspective a couple Strike Cruisers and a Battlebarge make a good starting base to work from. Escorts are optional in my mind. so you obviously aren't very worried with even slightly fluffy fleets then? Octavulg
Clearly the escorts are off doing something else/destroyed/this Chapter despises them. Grey Mage
Meh, space marine escorts arent all that common anyways in the fluff. Why? Because escorts are the hallmark of a battlefleet- wich space marines are hoped not to form because it makes the IN very very nervous indeed. A Space Marine fleet in the fluff is going to be strike cruiser heavy. Demoulius
the only part about SM escorts that they got nervous about were the nova frigates IIRC as space marines with lance are apparently alot more terrifying then space marines without lance :) also with that in mind why are the dark angels massing torpedo destroyers if they want to make the IN nervous? i dont get it (or havent read that last part good enough) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/172892-battlefleet-gothic/page/2/#findComment-2626077 Share on other sites
