Schertenleib
Okay I've finished the Omnibus (Space Wolf, Ragnar's Claw, Greyhunter) and I'm starting Son's of Fenris. What other Space Wolf books are there? I still need: Wolf's Honor and Wolfblade. Is the whole Horus Heresy series worth the read? I was told after the first three it's just a rehash from different points of view. DragonPup
Most of the Horus Heresy series is worth reading, despite a lack of Space Wolf centric material. You can safely skip 'Descent of Angels' and 'Battle for the Abyss'. 'Tales of Heresy' has a Space Wolf short story, and 'Propero Burns' and 'A Thousand Sons' comes out next year which will be very Wolf/1kSons centric. Wolfblade comes before Sons of Fenris in the series, you should read that first. TeamLando
Although I didn't really like it as a book, as said above I don't beleive you should skip Battle for the Abyss seeing there's alot (compared to all the other HH book thus far, give us prospeeero buurns) of Space Wolf action in it. Otherwise, well Eisenhorn is propbably the best damn WH40K book out there (the omnibus of course, three books in one), and the Gaunt series and of course the Ravenor thriology. All by Dan Abnett. And again, damn, Eisenhorn is great. Buy it, now. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/173130-book-titles/#findComment-2046734 Share on other sites
Lexington
TeamLando's quite right - the Eisenhorn books are very good reads. Some of Bill King's early Gotrek & Felix books are quite good, as are Nathan Long's continuation of the series. Aside from that, though, the Black Library's essentially a worthless pulphouse. Don't waste your money. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/173130-book-titles/#findComment-2046842 Share on other sites
Warhorse47
I will disagree on one point. The Ciaphas Cain series has some great sideways humor in it. I'm enjoying them a lot.
