To be exact my Lion-Pattern War Titan, this will be a very, very big project, especially to a novice modeller such as myself. I have bought the materials and I will get pics up asap ;) . [Edit] This will also become my general WIP page, just atm, the titan is big on mmy list. Im also thinking of putting lights and a speaker in it. Just for pure ridiculousness :P ! Just go the the apocalypse forum, important topic at the top (apocalypse datafax forum), It should still be on the first page. And yes I am quite mad :P ! Also I started on one of the feet, and majorly screwed it up, however I was able to save the foamboard, and I made a dread base from it :D . But ya, Im having issues cutting it straight (even w/ steel rule) and the size is off. :) Although my razorback turret is coming along nicely. I got an old metal turret model from my friend, I think its RT era, but its definitely OOP ^_^ . It actually looks pretty cool, so I will post up picks later. It now is very srewed up, lost all the photos, and replaced them with a single, months-old, deleted pic.... I had some cool lookin stuff but now I am ill with whatt happened. I got the modell temporarily glued together, he is jumping off the half buried rhino hatch, has the spear outward to his right, the shield tucked in to his left, like hes gonna bash, and then stab/swing. The guy with the champion torso, and leg propped on the rock has been modified. I cut off the end of the mace, and replaced it with the gargoyle head thats usually on chaos atoucannons/lascannons. Im also giving him a powerfist from an old choas lord, its holding a SM/CSM head that has been ripped off B) . The chaos bits are from a friend that in exchange Im gonna make wings for his DP. [PAINTING] Ive decided on a standard paint sheme, finally :) . The majority will be black, lower leggs and helmet trim/raised surfaces dark green, face of helmet and trim fenris grey. Im thinking red or green eyes. [bASING]Ive also got a "standard" basing material that I will be using on the majority of my modells. It is a red-brown sand. My sister and mother dragged me into a fabric store, so I just thought I should chech out the crafts section. I found the bag of sand, about a qaurt, for 2.99 . Perfect! So I spread the glue on the base, dip it in the sand, and then put it in aother bag that has corn mmeal mixed with the sand, and shake. The cornmeal-sand mixture is used because just dipping it leaves lots of bare glue. Opinions, suggestions? At least on the paint scheme and bases. Camera is getting fixed, so not too long before I can get pics. Modelling: -Got an attack bike, parts are being primed, painted, and assebled seperately. The gunners weapons are also being magnatised for WYSIWYG purposes, and so I can do my taint hunters conversion :lol: . -Vindicator will be assembled after I finish priming all the little parts. Also what would you guys think If I sculpted a lions head over the barel of the cannon :huh: ? I always thought it wouls look coll if the cannon came out of its mouth.... -I changed mister "propped leg and distant look guy" again. Now he has two powerfists (because I can) and looks pretty bad-monkey, especially with the chaos lord fist (the one thats holding a torn-off head). His name is now Cepholus, The Head Hunter. -GS skills arent improving much....... :rolleyes: -Gave a liby ann attempt of psychic flames. -Im stuckk on making the wings for my friends DP and starting on the titan. Any tips or suggestions? Painting: -Finished my first fully painted marine in my chapters colors. He is a robed devastator with a heavy bolter. -Everything in the pics has been primed. - Started painting on some of the above models. -What else :huh: ............. Plans/Goals: -Getting enough bikes to run RW- one attack bike, ya almost finished. :lol: -Getting good with GS-Definitely not yet. I hate it when you have sweet ideas in your head, but cant make them manifest with the medium. -Trying to make an IA for my chapter- Actually doing good on this. With the recent passing of my aunt who was a writer, I am putting more investment in my imagination and writing abilities. Although I dont have much posted up here, my desk is litered with pages and pages of ideas, notes and little chunks of a full size novel Im trying to write. Although it definitely wont be done any time soo, and wont bepubplished, I like it. -Speaking of fluff, feel free to leave your opinion in my DIY chapters thread. Modelling: -I finished the frame for a pair of DP wings for a friend. -Working on assembling an attack bike. -Getting better with GS Painting: -finished HB devastator vet. -Painting attack bike (in pieces) -Painting captain models( all 4) -Debaiting how to paint my vindicator, I have color scheme for infantry, but not vehicles, sooo.... :D Fluffing: -Still working on my DIY chapter in Liber Astartes. Still working on the fluff for individual characters and battles, which afterword I think I will submit to the Librarium. To come (in the pics): -Paint scheme actually on a model. -WIP paint sheme for rhino chasis tanks.(I will want your opinions/suggestions) -WIPs of idividual models still being painted -Whatever other projects Im working on Oh, hold on a minute, got a tip for you-all. I dont know if this will help, but it should keep your simple green lasting a while longer. Ive made a solution that stripps models fast and well. 3/7's simple green, 2/7's water, and 2/7's 70% rubbing alcohol. It does a great job. It helps if you do it in bulk, in a sealed container.
