kapturowski
Twelve hours? I couldn't paint something that good in 48 hours... Awesome. Ashen-Shugar
Sorry for not posting an update folks. The NMM which I had just started on the thunder hammer turned out... well... 'strange'. I'll fix it up though and will try to get pics up tomorrow. Thanks for all the comments. Drexsun
Ashen-Shugar, Grr to you.. lol Well I painted my first model.. it was a test paint and I didn't prim it.. and it is a Orc Warboss from the Blackreach set. Its crap lol - Drexsun Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/173250-sons-of-orar-1st-company-veterans/page/2/#findComment-2053762 Share on other sites
Ashen-Shugar
Vanguard champion is nearly done - just the NMM to go. I've also started on a sternguard veteran. Pics will come tomorrow (I promise this time ;) ) In the meantime, does anyone know where I can get my hands on these two veterans, other than ebay? One has power mace and mk8 armor, the other has a chainsword and pistol. I can't find them in any online shops near Ireland or the UK... http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/465/10554641.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/173250-sons-of-orar-1st-company-veterans/page/2/#findComment-2058909 Share on other sites
GumbaFish
They came in a blister like that and it was random what was in there, so ordering a specific one is going to be tricky other than bitz sellers possible or ebay. You could try your local store if you have one and there may be one there by luck. Ashen-Shugar
My nearest store is 1 1/2 hours away so that's a no-go... I suppose I'll have to look on ebay, unless anyone can think of an online shop. GumbaFish
I think, but may be wrong, that the fellow with the power mace is no longer made so he may prove slightly more difficult to track down. I know I have seen several other threads for this mini so presume you aren't the only one hunting him down. Ashen-Shugar
I'm giving up on the vanguard for now, he is too much of a pain. I have however finished the sternguard above. I have started using normal metallics now also. Pics will come soon. Temprus
Awesome stuff. Sadly, those vet models are OoP, they come as two random vets, one bolt pistol arm and one random special weapon arm. Ebay is where I got mine, just make sure you to only bid on items with a picture and confirm that the picture is what they are actually selling if still in the package. Ashen-Shugar
Update time. This mini is finished except for his twin lightning claws which are yet to arrive. Archenemy
Great work mate, love the marines particularly the NMM one you posted. I don't really think I liked it just because of the NMM I just like the relationship between the 3 colours, red, white and yellow/browns of the NMM. Maybe it's just cause I just really love that marine sculpt. /shrug Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/173250-sons-of-orar-1st-company-veterans/page/2/#findComment-2078356 Share on other sites
