Megalodon
Sorry I took so long. Here is what I've done so far, I started with the arms that hold the bolter at an upward angle. I cut off both hands at the wrists http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v673/EasyEight/40K/conversions/shooter1resized.jpg Then I drilled holes on the wrists and hands for pinning. Then I used some Hobbytac (basically thick sticky PVA) to hold the arms in place while I positioned the hands. I did the right hand fist, so I had the leveled position for the bolter in the right position before moving on to the left hand. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v673/EasyEight/40K/conversions/shooter2Cropped.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v673/EasyEight/40K/conversions/shooter3CroppedCopy1.jpg This is what the model looks like with a bolter set in position, before the green stuffing of the wrists. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v673/EasyEight/40K/conversions/shooter4resizedCopy1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v673/EasyEight/40K/conversions/shooter5resized.jpg I hope this helps. Megalodon
No prob, SK. Here is the green stuffed wrists. For the right hand I made it look like the soft armor of the hip and knee joints. For the left I just filled it in. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v673/EasyEight/40K/conversions/shooter6Cropped.jpg This is the completed Marine ready to be primed. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v673/EasyEight/40K/conversions/shooter7resizedCopy1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v673/EasyEight/40K/conversions/shooter8resized.jpg I think it turned out pretty nice and it was really easy. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/173333-modelling-reposition-arms-to-aim-bolters/#findComment-1357136 Share on other sites
xenofexx
I like this conversion a lot! Very simple yet very effective. I'll definately be giving a few of my marines this treatment to make the squad more varied. Also, I should imagine this conversion would go VERY well with repositioning the marine's legs to a kneeling position, and perhaps a scope on the bolter :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/173333-modelling-reposition-arms-to-aim-bolters/#findComment-2203555 Share on other sites
