Captain Talon
It looks like the bolter is part of the arm, the way IG figures are. That will make it a pain for conversions and such...... Megalodon
If it is attached it will be an irritant for me as I paint my minis separate from the bolters. :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/173344-just-realized-something-about-the-new-grey-hunter/#findComment-2048777 Share on other sites
LPetersson
That is almost certainly not the case... I would be very surprised (And appalled) if that's the case... TeamLando
Seeing it's a Space Wolf Themed arm, that might very well be the case, then again it might just as well be two space wolf themed arms, just like the good old Grey Hunter arms :( And I don't really see something in the said picture that should indicate that's it's a one-piece bolter :) Â I think they assemble as usual, but the arms have SW thingys attached this time around seeing this one comes from the sprue, thus one can have a different bolter and a different bolterhandle tag :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/173344-just-realized-something-about-the-new-grey-hunter/#findComment-2048793 Share on other sites
Marek Grimfang
The Black Templar bolter/arms are attachd and I think the Dark Angel ones are too. Skalver
And I don't really see something in the said picture that should indicate that's it's a one-piece bolter :) Â If you look closely you can see that the trigger finger is sculpted inside the trigger housing, you can see the housing extend back in under the trigger finger. If the hand was seperate then it makes no sense to sculpt a trigger housing and a placed trigger finger onto it since that would just make the arm unusable for close combat weapons etc so it is either some very subtle conversion work or at least the gun hand and possibly the entire arm are attached to the gun. Warhorse47
You could be right, oh well, we will just have to cut/glue for work. bevulf
Guys this isn't really a problem - when I paint my dark angels (the DA sprue contains arms with bolters) i just glue the other arm and I paint the one with bolter separately and then I glue it to the miniature. I think it is even better because it is much easier to paint the armour without one arm glued. JMcL63
The Black Templar bolter/arms are attachd and I think the Dark Angel ones are too. Indeed. So I would expect that the SW ones will be the same. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/173344-just-realized-something-about-the-new-grey-hunter/#findComment-2049031 Share on other sites
TeamLando
The Black Templar bolter/arms are attachd and I think the Dark Angel ones are too. Â OH  I didn't know, damn well I guess ours will probably be the same then....not that much of a big deal I guss, although I somtimes tend to have msome of my GH wielding their bolters single-handed in their right hand and a grenade in the perfectly formed left hand. But yeah we'll get alot of "regular" hans aswell so it aint no big deal B) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/173344-just-realized-something-about-the-new-grey-hunter/#findComment-2049106 Share on other sites
Natanael
To me it looks like you could just cut the hand off, and then re-position the bolter that way, with some GS-fill. Then you could fit a grenade in the other hand  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/173344-just-realized-something-about-the-new-grey-hunter/#findComment-2049107 Share on other sites
TeamLando
As long as the left hand (their left our right) is not attatched to the gun I see no problem, then they'll just spare us the hassle to cut and glue oruselves B) then again, we can't use the bolters as spares on bikes/in rhinos etc. Oh well, time will tell  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/173344-just-realized-something-about-the-new-grey-hunter/#findComment-2049109 Share on other sites
