Very good. It's impressive when a modeler can incorporate bits that I've painted and used but don't recognize because they fit so well with the overall motif of the piece. You did that very well with the helmet and crozius/ banner top.

Did you use any GS at all on this model? Where did you get all those skulls (chest, shoulderpad and shin) if not?

You can cross out the word 'attempt' in your first post brother. This is a great mini, well executed, well painted, well posed and the bits fit together seamlessly. It looks like it was built from a 'plastic chaplain with jump pack kit', rather than assembled from bits.

Aside from the wee niggle about the bolt pistol barrel not being drilled out, this is a 10/10 mini :o. I would be proud to have that in my collection, and I should think there'll be a fair few other people who would too :o

+Edit+ just spotted the mould line on the front of the bolt pistol as well. I you can I'd suggest backscrtaching that off and repainting it, as once you spot it, it kinda stays there. That's my only other niggle though and everything else I said still stands +Edit+

Completely agree with all the positive comments from everyone else so far. The blend of pieces from different races and even between Fantasy and 40k is truely exceptional. Something you should be very proud of. I like the pose, painting and detailing on the model a great deal.

My one and only gripe is the BP. Removing the mold lines and maybe drilling it out will take the model to the level it really deserves to be at.

Overall great work :P

i really love this and think its great!

i might have to do this if i find myself in need of a chaplain - i tend to favour plastic conversions over expensive set-pose metal models.

i think the banner top of the two-headed eagle with large folded wings perching on a skull would have also worked very well as its almost exact to some of the metal chaplains' crozius heads.

+_+
