Spacefrisian
If you gonna put a Wolfguard leader with that scout unit than just give him Claws and Meltabombs. And instead of wasting points you might wanna try a Landspeeder with 2 Multimelta it can deepstrike and with 2 on it will hardly miss. You could, if there is a guarding unit like a sisters squad, you can try for a multiple assault on both the Exorcist and sisters, using scouts with MB on the exorcist and th eWGPL and a few scouts on the sisters. Personaly i would keep scouts cheap as possible, they aren't going to survive for long anyway. wiplash
Wolf Scout option: obel and strike quickly, down sides - may not come in very quick as they are from reserve :D so they could be infiltrated normally, but they will be asilly stopped 6 wolf scouts - meltagun - meltabombs - plasma pistols? (not needed but S7 comes in handy) wolf guard leader - thunderhammer - necklace (not neccessarily against tanks, but technically does work on them) - combi melta Predator/Leman Russ: you know the drill Bloodclaw bikers: turbo boost 24" first turn, normal move in second (if within 24" if over 24" then turbo boost again 4+ cover save is useful), then melta and assault asap - meltagun - 2 powerfists or plasma pistols wolf guard leader (on bike bit costly but does damage) - thunderhammer - necklace (not neccessarily against tanks, but technically does work on them) - combi melta drop pod - 8-12 blood claws - WGL? - meltagun - meltabombs (cant assault until at least 3rd turn :() then you would have up to 12 meltabomb attacks when you assault it!! finally land speeders: either drop pod in 2nd turn or full speed accross board (from deep strike you can shoot which is brilliant with speeders) - multimelta - either, a second multimelta, typhoon missiles (2 S8 hits), or ass cannon (4 S6 hits but does rend) they are pretty much your only options, other than ramming it with a land speeder!! Think positive and say that speeder is going to suvive 1 turn after landing so it can take are of that other Exorcist. But 1 Multimelta should do the trick as well. Actually, if you deploy the Ven Dread in the pod so it drops in turn 1 and destroys one exorcist, you can deploy the land speeder normally, but behind some terrain (I'd use a multi-melta and an assault cannon). Pop over the top and destroy the other exorcist. Should work well, but it is a lot of points to dedicate to these two tanks. At least the Ven Dread should last a while and be able to destroy some other stuff as well. I might consider deploying more than one speeder as well. I think if you are able to destroy both exorcists and keep the bulk of your army protected in rhinos, you could selectively pop the sister's transports and destroy squads as you please. They won't have much available to deal with your armor once the exorcists are gone and I'd think that even your landspeeders may be around for a while if you move them carefully. (You could eliminate the Wolf Scouts in this scenario -- :D I know, I know) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/173737-player-against-sisters/page/2/#findComment-2054199 Share on other sites
Grimfoe
Another thought occurred to me. Have you thought about using a landspeeder storm? Combine a storm with the ven dread in a drop pod and you should be able to kill two exorcists on turn 1. Drop the ven dread in front (or along side if you can) and swing the storm (with a Multi-melta or assault cannon -- not sure of options as I don't have the codex with me) over terrain and disembark the scouts. If possible, position the scouts right between the exorcists so the ven dread and the storm can each shoot one first. Once the vehicles are done, shoot whichever exorcist is still standing. At the least, you should be able to penetrate the armor and insure they don't shoot in turn 2. Master Of Malfeasance X
Using vehicles as mobile cover is almost an art. Sisters don't have many blast weapons, so unless they're right on top of you, it shouldn't matter if you bunch up in the beginning stages of the game.
