SHAS'O SamadhiRaver Posted July 21, 2009 Author Share Posted July 21, 2009 ok some better pics http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v670/Samadhi/SM/asscantermy-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v670/Samadhi/SM/asscantermy1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v670/Samadhi/SM/asscantermy2.jpg the current plan for the army is 1000 points there are two 5 man dev squads with 4 ML each and a PF on the sarg two 5 man tac squads with a melta in each a dred with assultcannon and storm bolter a termanator squad with an assultcannon and a chaplin with jump pack i have played 1 game so far and took out an all infantry guard army by makeing smart use of cover and keeping his hardest hiting guns out my LOS of most of my army. i ended up shooting allmost all of his units to death by the end of turn 7 he had 2 guardsmen left maning 2 morters he had hid in the back i have not decided on how to expand the list so far but i am working on sevral moddels that are not on the list for this force allready so we will see where this takes us Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Rizara Posted July 21, 2009 Share Posted July 21, 2009 WOW nice looking fists so far. I love seeing WIP army threads, helps to keep me motivated as well seeing armies form. As for your plans however, i don't want to burst your bubble too bad, but you need more tacs marines unfortantely. Reason being is you can't field a 5 man unit now with an special weapon in it. It really sucks because i too would love to do that, as well as being able to field two special weapons in unit. I look forward to watching this thread now, as i love seeing progress. SHAS'O SamadhiRaver Posted July 25, 2009 Author Share Posted July 25, 2009 ok new expanded list is worked out 2x 10 man tac squads with a melta and ML 2x 5 man dev squads 4x ML and a pf on the sarg a 5 man termy unit with assultcannon a dred with assultcannon a ven dred with assultcannon and flamer in a drop pod (for scareing the hell out of people ;) ) a 5 man assultsquad with PF on the sarg and the assult pack chapplin for 1505 points the idea is to be compact enough to use the cover to great effect and keep some strong back up plans workibal witch is what the chapplin and assult squads are for and and you have to love droping a ven dred on people and lighting them up i am working on painting somting right now and should have it posted later tonight and the conversion for the ven dred is underway i just dont like the mettal one GW has out so i am doing somthing similar but just for my fist army B) edit: i gess i should add a new pic of the army mind you the ven dred is very WIP nothing is evan glued in place and most of the work has not ben done also the drop pod needs to be changed a bit to make it imperial fist and not blacktemplars http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v670/Samadhi/imperialfist001.jpg Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

SHAS'O SamadhiRaver Posted August 12, 2009 Author Share Posted August 12, 2009 alot of work done the army is more then half finished. i compleated the whole blacktemplars squad and another fist termanater so all i have left is the drop pod the ven dred, assult squad and 9 devastators oo and the last 3 from the fist squad. if only the local craft store had dullcoat left i could seal the figs i just got done o well hear is a shot of most of the army as it stands right now. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v670/Samadhi/imperialfist006-1.jpg oo and i got a chance to try out the citadel spray gun. it is ok i gess but i would have ben just as well off finding a spraycan of a paint shade that was close to what i use now and it would have ben alot cheaper o well you live and learn i gess. SHAS'O SamadhiRaver Posted September 6, 2009 Author Share Posted September 6, 2009 i kinda get why you think they look creamie. i have yet to really work out how to take good pics and i do very little editing of them when i have taken them (i shrink them 50% and crop that is it) also i dont have a good daylight bulb so the light its self it a bit yellow i should try in daylight. also my highest "hightlight" is iyanden darksun i find most imperial fists come up really bright and i was never a fan so when i set out to paint my force i decided they should be much darker and have no edgehighlighting insted i am makeing sure the depth of the armer stand out a little more with the wash of ogrin flesh the redish brown helps tie the yellw to the red in the moddle and also provides some nice lowlights. any way my fault on the bad pics i will try to correct them when i get a chance Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
