Termie chaplain, same green chapter.

Finished after the jump chaplain.

Also found this bugger lost in one of my bitz boxes. I remember having this mini bought cheaply from some guy but then the mini was over painted and quite ugly so I decided to speedpaint him up painting over the old colours along with the jump chaplain. I really love the mini though.

You can see the sloppy paintjob being rushed here and there, I never gave the armour any attention what so ever so places like arms etc are butt ugly but I dont care, I love the mini anyway and he goes well with my termie firedrake squads. All the shooty termies are done now, will post pics a bit later.

The only things I sculpted from scratch on this one is half the base and the combi flamer.

The CF is a partial sculpt I made converting a bolter once. I grew to like my combi flamer and decided to cast it up at home and now I´m going to equip my army(ies) with about 15 of them, mostly on sternguards but also on a bunch of HQs and other elites.

Looks great. I'm curious, what is the process you use for the gold trim?

Um, I think it is scorched brown and then adding golden yellow to eventually add white at the end of the highlite.

The other gold I do is vallejo colours, chocolate brown with added yellow and white.

A third more greenish gold (my favorite) is black and snake bite leather with yellow added and then white.

Id like to see a mini you just had time with to do a "good" paintjob.

Very well, here is an example of a mini when I have in excess of 50 hours to put into it.

Also gold type 1 and 3 is seen on this one.

Sons of Horus:

I figured one would be enough but then again you can never get enough mushrooms :P

I know I know, I promised to make a mushroom and chrystal tutorial ages ago and I forgot. I am a very bad person.

I´ll see if I can squeeze in a sculpt tutorial on how to make simple chrystals and mushroom bases that just about anyone can do at home.

(just remind me if I forget again)

Vagrant:

PM me and I can give you painting help etc. Always fun to help people out with our shared hobby.
