DeathCat147
Test model pics. http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii275/Deathcat147/Termimarine006.jpg http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii275/Deathcat147/Temimarine01002.jpg http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii275/Deathcat147/Termimarine003.jpg Yes i know is a very simple marine with a few Necron parts thrown on, but damn it i like it:D My love of genocidal robots ala Terminator, Cylons, walkers from War of the Worlds (I know not technically in the same catagory as the other two but still great machines), and a rather odd dream led me to messing around with some spare parts which led to this. Throw in the natural fear of dehumanisation and lack of identity and we have what im going for. Marines are already a seperate and feared part of humanity with their sheer physical presense and strict psycological remolding, but thowing in machine like qualities and the visual reference of death and you have something which in the mind of your average citizen (loyal or otherwise) is truely terrifying. The chapters personality rounded down to a few buzz words: Cold, Clinical, Precise, Relentless, Pious, Unwavering. I have yet to choose a chapter symbol or name. C&C welcome. The Angelus Sanctus
I've done similar modelling in an attempt to make some unique Iron Hands models (without having to pay an arm and a leg to get the box set off the GW store). Sounds like you could establish an army of Iron Hands given what you have modelled and painted, and thrown in with some of the traits you are after, well, the Iron Hands would be very well suited. Skull_Lord
Rather simple, but brilliant. I especially like the Bolter conversion. Scope from Imperial Guard Heavy Weapon Teams and barrel from Scout Biker, or Imperial Guard, Grenade Launcher? DeathCat147
Rather simple, but brilliant. I especially like the Bolter conversion. Scope from Imperial Guard Heavy Weapon Teams and barrel from Scout Biker, or Imperial Guard, Grenade Launcher? Indeed it was the I.G heavy weapons team scope and a trimmed down I.G grenade launcher barrel. Hopefully all of the bolter armed marines will have this version. Sternguard will probably get a box or drum magazine so as to help differentiate them. Im thinking symbol wise, a Iron Hands style fist clutching a cog! Yay or nay gentlemen?
