jah-joshua
hey B&C... it's been quite a while since i got to paint a marine... it's nice to be back at the power armor again... this guy was painted for the contest over at The Pit of the Oni... a 40k special character painting contest was the perfect excuse to paint my first crimson fist... he was painted with P3 paints, following the GW scheme... i think i overworked the pics afterwards, as there is a bit more shading on the ropes and shoulder pad rim, that is lost in the pics... oh well, live and learn... enjoy... http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l266/jah-minis/forum%20pics/PedroKantor.jpg http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l266/jah-minis/forum%20pics/PedroKantor1.jpg http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l266/jah-minis/forum%20pics/PedroKantor3.jpg http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l266/jah-minis/forum%20pics/PedroKantor2.jpg if you'd care to vote on the contest entries, they are here: http://pitoftheoni.blogspot.com/ if you'd care to vote on coolmini: http://www.coolminiornot.com/227451 thanks for lookin'... cheers jah Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/173964-pedro-kantor/ Share on other sites
c-wrex
Looks fantastic, dude! I would love the Pedro model more if it was slightly less bling-y, but you do it great justice! Theose rops along the chest and the powerfist really stand out to me. jah-joshua
thanks for all the comments guys... Space Marines are definitely my first love as far as GW minis go... it's unfortunate that i don't get hired to paint that many of them... i've mostly made my name from painting for Privateer Press for a few years, so that what i usually get commissioned to paint... i've quite painting for studios and stopped taking commissions, although it's hard to turn down cash money and published work, so my schedule isn't 100% free... basically, this mini is the first in an experiment to see if GW schemes, painted to 'Eavy Metal standards, will sell well to collectors... on deck i have Capt. Sicarius, Logan Grimnar, Vulkan He'stan, and Kor'sarro Khan... all done in their 'Eavy Metal schemes, with little tweaks here and there... hopefully there will be a demand for studio copies... thanks again... cheers jah Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/173964-pedro-kantor/#findComment-2061412 Share on other sites
