ANOTHER Army Idea

With the many armys I collect, all of which being Space marine or power armoured (GK).

 

I wanted to make a cheap army just for fun, something that was quick to paint but with endless options to convert, as this is the part I enjoy the most, I have lots of converted models but few painted. Im not sure if I will build this army yet but its been flyingaround in my head a while and I wanted to get it written down before I forget it.

 

Anyway, the Idea is to make a Adeptus Mechanicus Infantry Army useing guard rules.

The twist is that I only want to have one Living human in the entire army, the Tech Priest (or whatever the higher ranking equivalent is, im not so up on the ad mech but i will research into it if i get the go ahead on this army), the rest of the army will be servo skulls with las weapons mounted directly under them (counts as a standard guardsmen) and dreadnaught style half human half machine creations as sentinels and other counts as veichles.

 

Im not sure how much of an army I will do but I think it will be fun and uniqe, the only problem is makeing it clear what is what in the counts as front.

 

What do you guys think? What would work well as conversions. I dont know if this has been done before but if it has how did you see it done?

Think you may be going into uncharted territory. Which means those nasties from the ][ maybe showing up soon....

But if you stick with it it would be interesting to game against, and possibly ally oneself with.

This is a cool idea, I think it could work well (you may have actually achieved the dream of collecting and painting an IG quickly!). Don't forget that IG have some other units with potential for AdMech, such as Psyker sqds (which could be electro priests or perhaps, to keep to your theme, some form of super servo skull) and ogryns (which could be robots, which would still fit your theme of only one human).

i have to agree i think its not too far fetched as asmech use loads of robots and drones and things you could use skulls as normal Guard, old robots as ogryns, and massive converted servitors as sentinals and for storm troopers make some middlesized servitors with armour plating and use them for pretorians ;)
