Reaper297
Hello everyone, I've been looking around for a while and decided that it was about time I tried to make my own chapter so here is what I've got so far Sons Of Osiris[/font] </div>Forever Changed, Forever Vengeful OriginsThe Sons Of Osiris are a fairly new chapter created around the 24th founding. The reasoning behind the chapters creation is unknown, They are believed to be descendants of Rogal Dorns gene seed on account of the failure of their Betcher's Gland and Sus-an Membrane. The Sons of Osiris were founded by a former Imperial Fists sergeant by the name of Aeton Kyros. Aeton had a long career as a space marine sergeant and had become a very wise man. He was often looked to for advice and after years of service, was deemed fit to lead a chapter of his own. Aeton decided to station the Sons of Osiris on a world just barely out of the reach of Imperial space but close to to the Eye of Terror. This world would be Argus. After several months, the fortress known as 'The Scarabs Den' was finally finished. The Sons then set out to search Argus for artifacts to secure for the imperium. While searching the planet however, the Sons found traces of chaos. A war band following Tzeentch finally showed itself several days later. Aeton sent the seventh company to deal with these heretics. At first they were successful. Unknown to the Sons, a larger group had been hidden on the planet and began to show itself. The waves of enemies became to much to bare, so the seventh was forced to retreat. When they arrived back at the fortress, they found a scene of utter chaos. Many of the Sons were already in battle against the forces of chaos. Many days of fighting left both sides battered. Appearancehttp://img196.imageshack.us/img196/5093/sonsofosiristactical.jpg Sons of Osiris Marine The Sons of Osiris wear jet black armor adorned with gold. After their battle with tzeentch the Sons of Osiris covered their armor in ruins that were meant to protect them from the powers of tzeentch. <div style="background-color:#990000]Home world The Sons of Osiris stationed themselves on Argus. Argus is a small feral world just outside of Imperial space and is home to several nomadic tribes. Argus is the only source of recruitment for the Sons of Osiris chapter. Argus also holds a large supply of crystalline rocks and obsidian. Because of the large quantity of obsidian many of the people forge their own weapons and learn to do so at a young age. Updated finally. Not much but it gives a little more background. Criticism is highly welcome. Reaper297
@Forgefather Vulkan: Yes I plan to incorporate Egyptian culture into them. Only weapons and armor for now but I'm still working on some other ideas. Also I've been working on some schemes for them and will post them soon. Most likely tomorrow. Imperialis_Dominatus
Not much to go on, but the 22nd Founding was in M37. The 26th Founding, the latest, was in M41. Somewhere in between there is the 24th Founding. It was probably (given this spread) sometime near M39. Ergo, your Imperial Fists leader would have to be very old. Old enough to be stomping on Dante's turf. And Dante don't like that. His Chapter's Italian themed, after all; they'll fit you for a pair of ceramite boots. Other than that, let's go, on with the show, I want to see more! Egyptian themed Marines? Yeah! Reaper297
Well I finally got around to doing some more updating. Added a color scheme and some info on their home world, appearance, and origins. As for age I don't think of it a necessary especially with what I'm doing. Grey Hunter Ydalir
And Dante don't like that. His Chapter's Italian themed, after all; they'll fit you for a pair of ceramite boots. Absolutely. As for age I don't think of it a necessary especially with what I'm doing. No but there must be a 'beginning' to the story, when they were founded and when they went bananas, to put it lightly. They can't just appear out of thin air. Then the Blood Angels probably would give you a dirt-nap, all things considered. Captain morgan
Also think in advance what type of units and tactics your army deploys.it will make a big difference when you decide to customize them with various bits (if you do,sorry I'm just assuming here :D ) there is a great variety of egyptian themed sprues readily available from the warhammer fantasy army called Tomb kings. Then again, green stuff is your (expensive) friend. best of luck on the custom chapter. Mummies, Vampires and Werewolves fighting aliens lol! That actually brings up an interesting idea- the thematic of a mummy. A preserved corpse. How could you work it into the fluff though? Maybe the Revivicators (an extreme branch of Thorians) have shared (or otherwise had divulged) the secrets of their longevity? Shady forms of psychic acts that prolong life to the point where a warrior is extremely aged in body but still capable? EDIT: And bandages. Lots of bandages.
