New to Iron Warriors

Fulminata

Recommended Posts

Here are the first two units for my up and coming Iron Warriors Army. I painted the the Warsmith many years ago and he sat, alone on my shelf warding off my massive Dark Angels army. About 3 years about I bought the dreadnought and he went unpainted until last week. I was intending to use them in a diorama, but recently I have decided to create a new Army. I have a unit of Iron Warriors CMSs, but they are not painted yet.

I am taking my time and forcing myself to paint each unit before I even think about putting another one together. I have a rhino waiting in the wings and the battleforce on its way. More to come.

Very nice models Fulmimata, nice conversions and lots of detail.

I agree, take the giant spotlight (or whatever it is) off the dread, it's too big and draws attention away from what is a VERY nicely converted model. I like the chainfist btw, what could be more IW's then a gaint chainfist.

You are going to have an awesome looking IW's army.

welcome to chaos.

The dreadnought is not converted at all chillin, that's the FW model. Not a bad start, though if I were you I would use something to shade the hazard stripes a bit to make them less lemon colored, kind of clashes especially with the dark silver you use (which I like, my IW's are also dingy and a bit rusty).

I personally use watered flesh wash starting at the bottom and building a gradient up the stripe, wiping away excess quickly and making the stripe darker and less "flat". Also just so you know ruleswise dreads aren't so hot, which is too bad as I love the model/idea too. Anyway good luck, Perturabo be praised!
