Ouch, I think he, well, already is painted :)

 

You can always say it's because of the bad pic quality, you need to take a photo with the source of light

(is it a lamp? a window?) being in front of the model, not behind it!

 

Like the conversion though, really suiting!

I just though you havent stipped the model...

 

A good tip for taking photos: Take a Background, for example a white sheet leaning against the monitor or something.

And then center some light source on your model, better would be two but with one you can do just fine.

I've allowed myself to "pimp" your pic. I've just set the colours right and made a new background in Photoshop and e vuela:
