Coverfire
Is there an easy to follow tutorial guide for creating running and kneeing legs for infantry and also maybe a dreadnought? I feel the new look Space Wolves are a bit too static for an army which has been hinted to become extremely mobile and flexible. Actually while we are on the subject how about a tutorial on arm poses as well, for PA and TDA. Then again I would probably cut up a hundred dollars of models to find that I am still useless at modelling and give up entirely; not unlike what I did with the Chaos Warriors idea when they were in vogue or just my painting in general :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/174510-asking-for-tutorial-help/ Share on other sites
muzzyman1981
Well running legs are easy....buy Space Marine Assault Marine legs, they are perfect for creating that running look, it's what I did for all my Blood Claws and I think it looks awesome. The kneeling I don't know about so I would be interested in learning how too.... DGC
Hi. Not too sure about tutorials, searchy would be your friend but a good place to start for running legs would be the Asault Marine box set. Five sets of legs and they're sort of 'running already and with just a bit of playing around I'm sure you could get the poses you like. Here's some of mine http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s47/DGC_album/LPC%20Space%20Wolf%20Razorback/DSCN0545.jpg If you just want one or two kneeling marines then another of the box sets, Devastaors I think, had a pair in them. For a metal Dread, I repositioned one the legs by bending it backwards then cut the front toe in two places so that it would sit flat on the ground. Fill the gaps with g.s and move the torso around until you are happy with the look. I know they can 'run' but I always think of it as more of a heavy lumbering as opposed to a sprint http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s47/DGC_album/Dreadnought%20wip/DSCN0551.jpg http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s47/DGC_album/Dreadnought%20wip/DSCN0549.jpg and a step-by-step of repositioning the arms to give a better sense of motion which I'm sure you could adapt to work for a plastic Dread http://www.thegamersguild.co.uk/forum/topi...p?TOPIC_ID=1023 I can't help you with Termies as I haven't converted any but I am sure there are others on the board that could help. Have you tried posting this in the general PCA forums?? There would probably be more people reading it as not just wolves convert thier minis Take care and post pics of W.I.P DGC I Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/174510-asking-for-tutorial-help/#findComment-2063106 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
You can also get some Khorne Beserker legs and shave off all the chaos iconography... takes a bit of time, but works like a charm. Edit: Note, its also a great way to get some chainaxes! Brother Tuditanus
If I get to work modeling into the schedule tomorrow, I'll see if I can remember how to cook up some kneeling and running legs. Never done a tutorial, but I can try. I need to figure them out for my Wolf Scouts anyway. ORKILL
You can also use salt to heat and bend legs and arms. One of the BoLS guy posted a tutorial awhile back.
