Skirax
I am making a short campaign for people to play, and there will be Legion-specific stuff, such as where they fought etc. but I only know of 7, which are Diamat, Istvaan V, Prospero, Chondax, Calth, Tallarn and Signus Prime. These are courtesy of Tempus Fugitives, but I have no idea where to look for the others. By the way, can I have no battles listed after the Seige of Terra please, so no Skalathrax or the like please. Vodunius
A few campaigns mentioned in the original EPIC, some of which may be post-Siege of Terra since back then GW didn't differentiate between the Heresy proper and the Great Scouring: Yarant: Massive campaign lasting over 2 years with multiple astartes & titan legions, as well as Eldar and Orks. (also mentioned in Alpha Legion IA) Thedarc II: Space Wolves under Russ vs unspecified traitors Scouring of Gildens Star: Blood Angels vs Word Bearers Errsian Bloodbath: Major campaign (mentioned for completeness sakes, though it was post-Siege) Sangraal Campaign: Planet virus bombed by traitors, most famous convoy action of the "Heresy" - Crimson Fist rhino convoy delivers vaccine to beleaguered city (only canon mention of Crimson Fists as heresy era, obviously apocryphal) Scouring of Catenanda: Ultramarines, Space Wolves, Iron Hands & 100 Titans vs unspecified traitors. (probably scouring unless it took place before the Ultras reached Terra) Also of note: the 2nd edition Daemon Knights article stated that one of the most determined stands against Horus forces was on the world of Molech only a few light years from Terra, however it doesn't actually mention any Astartes being present (tho there were 3 Titan Legions and a hundred Imperial Guard regiments so one would expect at least a few cadres of loyal Astartes to be present) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/174928-warzones-of-the-heresy/#findComment-2072949 Share on other sites

Pacific81
There is a pretty good account of a WE engagement in the legions IA article, here is part of the damned awesome extract! During the heady days of the Great Crusade, the boundaries of the Emperors space were continually being pushed back by his Primarchs. Many worlds welcomed the arrival of the Emperors armies, while others foolishly resisted. Ariggata was a technologically advanced world that had been isolated from the Imperium for many centuries, and when Imperial envoys arrived bearing word of the Emperors return, they were executed in a bloody gesture of independence. The military might of Ariggata was formidable and thus the honour of its pacification fell to warriors from no less than three Legions, the Luna Wolves, the Ultramarines and the World Eaters. The Emperors Warmaster, Horus, was in overall command of the force, and under his masterful generalship, the armies of Ariggata were quickly subdued until only the Basalt Citadel, seat of the planet's rulers, remained in enemy hands. Imperial forces laid siege to the citadel, but the pacification was taking too long for Horus' liking, he wanted to be away from this world to seek further glory. To quickly end the siege he bombarded the mighty walls of the citadel from orbit, ordering Angron and the World Eaters to storm the breaches created and slay the enemy leaders. The walls of the citadel had been forged during the Dark Age of Technology and, despite a week long orbital bombardment, only a single breach was made. Roboute Guilliman counselled caution, but nether Horus or Angron were willing to wait. Angron threw the World Eaters at the walls of the Basalt Citadel, a firestorm of lasers and bullets wreaking bloody carnage amongst their ranks. The World Eaters were undaunted, a ramp of corpses allowing them to finally crest the breach and, once within the citadels walls, the battle-maddened Space Marines slew everything that came within the reach of their chain-axes. The ancient halls echoed with terrified screams for a day and night as the World Eaters rampaged through the citadel, and when Angron finally led his warriors from the charnel house, not a single soul remained alive within. When the Ultramarines moved in to secure the citadel, they were horrified at what they discovered. The chambers and vaults of the citadel resembled a madman s abattoir, dismembered corpses lay where they had fallen and the stench of death was an almost physical thing. No-one had been spared, every living thing had been butchered in the World Eaters fury. By the time the appalled Ultramarines left the citadel, the World Eaters and the Luna Wolves had already departed, leaving the Ultramarines to garrison Ariggata until the Imperial Army arrived. Before Guilliman was able to confront his brother Primarchs regarding the massacre on Ariggata, the Heresy erupted, both Horus and Angron spitting on their oaths of loyalty to the Emperor, and Guilliman`s worst fears were confirmed. Pacific81
I think thats your lot mate for the time being! There is a forthcoming audio book 'Ravens flight' featuring the remains of the Ravenguard (after the mauling they took at Istvaan!) trying to escape from a World Eaters force which has been tasked with exterminating them. Although, its unlikely the WE will be painted in a good light! Other than that, there is another short stories collection being put together and who knows, perhaps there will be a WE story as part of that? Certainly, it would be nice to have a book for them in their own right, although you could equally make a case for all the other traitor legions yet to be given their own novel!
