Stargazer Posted August 4, 2009 Author Share Posted August 4, 2009 If you want an army that colour I'm afraid it'll have to be a commission job as the colour is mixed in a mixing pot and was blended painstakingly up from the base tone to the final highlight. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful but the mix was not just two colours it was about 3-5 and I honestly can't remember what went into it! Stargazer Posted August 4, 2009 Author Share Posted August 4, 2009 Thanks for the compliment on the hazard stripes! The final highlight is actually a bit more chalky than it looks in the pics so Hawk Turquoise is too rich. The highlights are done by adding bleached bone to the basetone which is actually very dark however I can't for the life of me remember what went into it! The purple shadows were simply achieved with Liche purple washed over the armour. Keep the comments coming guys, negative or positive any feedback is great and helps me improve as a painter!
