sgtNACHO
Dude thats pretty sweet, Love the color and everything! The white letters are a little out of place to me though Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175054-strike-sternguard-sgt/#findComment-2069118 Share on other sites

Levitas
Awesome technique, but to me your colors are way out. The cool and warm colours are at odds, while the green and red is complimenting and draining from the blues. Which is a shame as you can obviously paint like a legend! Ferrus Manus
Very cool. Out of interest how did you make the wrist-mounted Storm Bolter? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175054-strike-sternguard-sgt/#findComment-2069183 Share on other sites
Commander Sha'son
i stole it from Pedro... Clipped it off whole at the gauntlet then used an assault arm that was clipped and cleaned about 1 mm from the elbow. Pin and glue. JMcL63
Nice mini with lots of great colours. Levitas might be right about them not pulling together properly though, but I'm not 100% sure of that yet. Plus: What are those blue bits? Tabards? If so, then I don't think you've got the swing right. They just don't look OK. The sword lets the mini down, because it doesn't really look like there's power in and through the sword. It just looks green. Those relatively minor criticisms aside, it is a lovely mini. Do show us more like it. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175054-strike-sternguard-sgt/#findComment-2069365 Share on other sites

verpine
Awesome mini but i agree, the power sword could use a bit of work. Where did you get the shield on his kneepad? Is it GS'ed? Kronk
I like the piece. Well done, sir. The free hand on the banner is most impressive. Particulary because I suck at free hand. Way to not suck. :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175054-strike-sternguard-sgt/#findComment-2069874 Share on other sites

JMcL63
I suck at freehand too... they are decals. Hmm. Did you have to use that decal wotsit stuff to get them to sit over the folds? You know the stuff I mean? ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175054-strike-sternguard-sgt/#findComment-2070285 Share on other sites
Commander Sha'son
Yes. I used micro sol and micro set. The area was prepped by gloss varnishing it. Once dry, it makes it so much easier to apply decals with out getting that silvering effect which prompts everyone to paint around the decal.
