Knightwing Terminator-Sgt Argus Nazeach

Recommended Posts

One of the driving personalities of the Knightwing band of renegades, the taciturn Argus Nazeach leads the Knightwing's precious few terminator armor equipped marines into battle. Wielding his customized power hammer and self-designed, unique quad-barreled bolter, Argus is a cunning tactician and mighty warrior who can smash through all oppositon or think his way around it with equal ease.

I started Argus early on in my 40k career, and only finished his plastic recently. He represents my first major attempts at using greenstuff on a mini, as well as being my first extensively converted character, which means that many areas of him are quite rough due to my inexperience; thankfully most of the really glaring parts in the photos don't look so bad in person. The quad-bolter is particularly ragged, but it was literally my first ever attempt at modeling the concept, and I'm sure with the simple application of someone who, unlike me, actually has a modicum of skill the design would come out looking quite nice indeed.

In any event, I submit him to your keen review; comments, critiques, tips and suggestions welcome, as are any questions about what parts are involved or how I put him together.

So is he armed with a thunder hammer and twin linked storm bolter? Just wondering how you plan to use these weapons. My GS skills are nonexistant, but your work looks fine to my untrained eyes. :(

Though honestly.... my GS skills haven't even been allowed to develop yet (my first ever pack of the stuff is sitting unopend as of yet... I think I might have a few suggestions, from one newbie to the next...

The bolters shouldn't need green stuffing together.... Cut, check fit, trim, glue, then possibly use glue to fill the gaps... The GS is literally wasted there (in my opinion)...

I think you should also look at the mould lines, ie, where the moulds create the imperfections that should be cut away... so deal with these next.

I also would suggest possibly rounding the hammer head? at least where it joins the rest of the hammer, because at the moment they're very obviously different and separate, again glue can fill this.

(Please can anyone comment on my suggestions as this would help me know if what I would do is right or wrong).
