Sisters and Psykers...

In my preparation for TSHIFT, I have redone my DH list in order to repaint them and to be somewhat competitive. That means taking the classic Inquisitor w/ Psycannon, PC, 2xHB and 2 mystics (actually I took two of them). I am running out of time to paint however and have been looking for ways to cut corners and one has just popped into my head today. Instead of buying a bunch of servitors and converting them, why not use Sisters in their place? I already have the painted models, it's fluffy and saves me $. But then I thought some more. Mystics. Psykers. SoBs abhor the witch and are infact a bit of a null themselves, instead relying on the physical manifestations of faith. Would they work together? I have been looking through the codex and Inquisitor's Handbook and haven't really found anything to say that they don't but still. I would like my army to remain fluffy and eventually a back story but I don't want to stretch the taffy too far. What do you think?

This is all in "my 2 cents".....

As the Psykers would be a part of the Inquisitor's retinue, they would probably be forced to "tolerate their presence", but would be all too eager to pull the trigger should the psykers step out of line. So, I could see them working together, although a strained working relationship at best.

On a side note, the Mystics don't have to be completely compliant as well! They could be "minor pawns" being used to catch the bigger heretic... kinda reminds me of several parts in Faith & Fire when

the sister works with the novel's initial main villain to uncover the bigger plot/conspiracy taking place in the novel. Albeit, never fulling trusting or working with him either.

Agreed. To be honest, being openly prepared to shoot anyone else who puts a foot wrong seems to be standard policy for the Inquisition. I guess the Sisters would just be a bit more open about it.

I am pretty sure that the Sisters have no problems with Sanctioned Psykers, as they have been approved by the Inquisition. The pysker that the Sisters seem to hate is the Witch which is an unsanctioned Psyker because theses are the ones that are the greatest threat to the Imperium. In short, i think that as long as the henchmen for the Inquisitor Lord are Sanctioned Psykers then the Sisters would have no problems allying with them.
