Neonknight
Hail Brothers, I did both a while ago, but I still like them. The Castellan is a self-made conversion. I took parts of an Inquisitor, a Grey Knight Weapon and Lysanders Shield. http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f48/Neonknight_81/Black%20Templars%20WH40K/Marschal1.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f48/Neonknight_81/Black%20Templars%20WH40K/Marschal2.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f48/Neonknight_81/Black%20Templars%20WH40K/Marschal3.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f48/Neonknight_81/Black%20Templars%20WH40K/Marschal.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f48/Neonknight_81/Black%20Templars%20WH40K/Rhino1.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f48/Neonknight_81/Black%20Templars%20WH40K/Rhino.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f48/Neonknight_81/Black%20Templars%20WH40K/Rhino4.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f48/Neonknight_81/Black%20Templars%20WH40K/Rhino3.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f48/Neonknight_81/Black%20Templars%20WH40K/Rhino2.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175183-my-castellan-and-a-rhino/ Share on other sites
Von Richthofen
Great looking models! The Castellan is very impressive, but the only thing that looks off is the lack of a back pack... it makes the model look more Inquisitor and less Astartes. Otherwise, I love the spear and shield! Baffy
I agree with VR, if at all possible you should try get a backpack in there under the fur. In every other respect he look suitable for a castellan. Rhino is also looking good, nothing immediate to complain about except nitpickings i might have mentioned at the PCA section but not here. Brother Richard
Nice work.. I like the concepts you put together to make your castellan. I was curious about how you numbered the rhino? The roman numeral 2 and the 4 are on the side, company/platoon/squad? Keep up the good work. Neonknight
Thanks for your comments. C&C is welcome. The Castellan was my first big conversion. I've just ordered a couple of bodies, legs and arms and then tried to combine them but I didn't want to use large amounts of green stuff. The plasma-combi belongs orginally to the Chapter Master Azrael of the Dark Angels. The Castellan is very impressive, but the only thing that looks off is the lack of a back pack... it makes the model look more Inquisitor and less Astartes. The Fur and cloak are one piece with the body, so it's quite difficult I guess to get a backpack under it. In my opinion the fur is bulky enough to have a backpack underneath it. I was curious about how you numbered the rhino? The roman numeral 2 and the 4 are on the side, company/platoon/squad? The roman 2 indicates that the Rhino is part of to the second battle group of the crusade and the 4 indicates that it is dedicated to the fourth crusader squad. Even a bunch of fanatic marines needs a little organisation. Especially amidst a battle. "By the emperor, where is my rhino gone?"
