Chained Lions WIP

Recommended Posts

Here is the first Vet Sergeant for my DIY chapter the Chained Lions. I look forward to any ideas on how to improve on this model, especially better painting techniques. I decided to axe the Eldar helmet though I still think it looks better. Here is the rest of the squad about 50% done. More pics soon.

Update about 90% done and pretty happy with my first ever tactical Marine squad, good job me

beautiful models sir. I greatly love the Lion shoulder pads you have custom made. how did you do those if i may ask? and i see you changed the head of the Sarge. even though i suppose this one looks better in a small way i know its corny but i kinda liked the old Elder one...

I really liked the crest theme on the helmet although the Eldar helmet looked weird on a space marine body. You can always try this Technique which would give you crests and can always be altered to give the higher looking crest that the eldar had. Lets see the rest of these marines painted up and please do share your technique you use on your shoulder pads.

Cheers, Messanger

I made the lion pads in greenstuff and greyish 3D "wax".
