a few more marines:

I thought i'd have a go at giving the one second from the right a bit of source lighting, never tried it before :(

a couple more of the source lit marine:

i'm not quite sure if the lighting from the sword looks quite right from some angles, any C&C/tips would be great :o

I think that's some great freehand, and that is some sick source lighting. I love how the blue light looks purple due to the red underneath it.

Overall very cool! You've got some great marines here. Although they don't scream Angels Encarmine to me, more blood angels try to make them look a little more divergent from their predecessors,

Thanks for the comments sgtNACHO, :D

the blue was a lot trickier on red than the green was, I was worried it was a little too bright, i might try toning it down a little bit with some baal red ink...

and may i ask what you mean by they don't scream Angels Encarmine? As in they're just too-standard BA's? or are there key features of Angels Encarmine that i've missed? :)

i've been basing my minis on the bottom right pic on this page http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Angels_Encarmine

not knowing what the angels Encarmine are doesn't quite help me here...is that just the name of you diy ba-like army??. i would have to agree with NACHO in that they do look like blood angels.

i have to say i really like the lighting you've done there!! - i have to say that i think you did a better job on the helmet than the back of the arm.

"insertcoolsmilyhere"

angels encarmine are one of the oldest BA successors, i think they go back to the mid-90's.

lighting is nice at the start, but you used some paint that might have been a little too dark for it. try smoothing it out by going back and forth with very thin washes of the light color and the armor color :P.
