I AM THE AWESOME
So here's my question to you, brothers. Does an all Drop Pod army (or Daemon army) get half their army on the first turn, plus for whatever they manage to roll a 3+? If so, then we can expect Daemons landing 4/5ths of their army with first turn assault capacity! Nasty! nighthawks
half on first turn, using reserves rules for the rest - they are on page 94 of the BRB. note that reserves don't start arriving in a normal 40k mission until turn 2. Coyote
Oh, are you referring to Planetstrike? If so: Drop Pod Assault still works. So, yes, 51% of the Drop Pods enter play on the first turn. Along with units in Reserves that you've rolled for. I've had ALL Drop Pods enter on Turn 1 in Planetstrike. For Deamons, yeah, it is nasty. That's why they're so strong on the attack in Planetstrike. The trick is to out-last the first wave.
