Schertenleib
Anyone know where I might find wolf skulls for my conversions? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175479-looking-for/ Share on other sites
Ragner Blackmane
If I'm not mistaken (as I don't actually have it) but i think you can get one in the Logan Grimnar spec char box. warboy
i can confirm you get a nice big wolf skull with logan grimnar, but it's a little too big to put on an average marine i think, pretty decent scale for termies tho. i also recommend making a green stuff cast of the wolf skull and crossbones from the power fist on the space wolves sprue, i use that on a bunch of conversions, the "great company" marking on my wolf scouts. it's also the perfect size to put on those "blank" backpacks you get. also you can get a decent imprint off the chest with the gem and skull on the belt. you can modify existing "human" skulls by adding a long nose section over the "teeth" of the old skull and extended down a bit. ulrik the slayer's head is a wolf skull also, if you don't mind sacrificing him. there's also two decent sized ones on his crozius arcanum thingy and 2 on his chest, might require some work to remove them, probably easier to cast them. the metal wolf guard terminators also have some nice chunky ones on their necklaces, but as you can only order "wolf guard terminator" from GW's website, and it comes with random body and random weapons, so you might not get what you want. hope this helps. TeamLando
You can convert a horsehead from either an undead mount or that Chaos Marauder standard bearer. The (old alteast) undead regiment usually came with a beastmen head that one could easily convert aswell. They're not that hard to make with green stuff btw ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175479-looking-for/#findComment-2073980 Share on other sites
Schertenleib
Okay...Casting....converting....great! Is there a tutorial on those? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175479-looking-for/#findComment-2074048 Share on other sites
TeamLando
It's failry easy, yoiu just take a green stuff ball, roll it, press it against something to make a egg-formed thing. Then you take another green stuff bit, roll it too, and make it more like a roll. You press the roll into the ball, making a snout on a head. After that, you press out the eyes, and then work out some skull details :P Try it, it's easier than it sounds :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175479-looking-for/#findComment-2074057 Share on other sites
