Hotspur
OK, I've not ever used razorbacks, but I was reading another post in the forum and kept seeing a setup involving a TLPG/LC. Sounds pretty sweet... is that packaged in the RB kit, or is it something that has to be made? If it's something that has to be made, would you guys mind telling me how it's done? I was thinking about picking up a couple of RBs for my long fangs, but now I'm seriously intrigued! warboy
sadly no, the standard razorback model comes with twin heavy bolters and twin lascannons, the tlpg/lc combo was commercially available towards the end of 2nd ed/start of 3rd ed and was a variant of the vintage rhino. i have one, so here's a picture of the turret. http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/pp337/Warboy1982/P1010511.jpg and here's a painted one. http://kofler.dot.at/40k/units/Ultramarine_Razorback.gif so yeah, unless you can find an old one on eBay or something, you will have to convert your own. shouldn't be TOO hard. lunchb0x
Go with twin linked assault cannons. Looks cooler. And we all know Space Wolves are all about style points. :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175540-razorbacks/#findComment-2074575 Share on other sites

Lord Rao
Yeah, LOL, that, and the fact that the TLPG/LC config isn't actually that effective. The main reason they kept it in the newer SM dex, imho, is to accommodate those who own the old model; other than that the newer configs are all preferable. Esp. now the TLAC is available (and easy to make, with the new tank bitz sprue). Still, as with everything right now, it might be best to sit back and wait to see what we get in our new dex, so you don't find you've just shelled out cash for stuff you can't (or no longer want to) use. Grey Mage
Step 1) Buy a bloodclaw box. Step 2) Remove the hands from two plasmapistols in said BC box. Step 3) Trim off barrel of one lascannon. Step 4) Assemble new turret. Step 5) PROFIT! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175540-razorbacks/#findComment-2075928 Share on other sites
