Lord Praetor Eizen

This picture makes him look way cooler than he does in person. I don't know what the hell happened, but it worked to my benefit. lol

Posing like a model to combat the enemies of the Imperium with style since... it's... a long time.

His shield is just as big as he is. Standing near Eizen counts as being in cover.

Litanies on his backpack read "stop looking at my butt and kill some xenos. Focus, damn"

Let me know what could be done better! You're all so talented, I can't wait to hear your comments and learn some stuff. Seems everytime I post my work I leave with ten new ideas to test.

:D

Well, I like the pose, the color sheme is striking and the lightning effect on the hammer also seems quite nice ;)

If I have to give some advice on anything, it would be on the metal.

On some areas it seems rather patchy, and other parts are rather rough-textured

(I guess that is because you drybrushed those?(specifically the backpack :P)).

About the patchyness: apply your metalics in many many thin thin layers

and after you washed/inked them reapply your metallics. (ofcourse not in the areas you intended to shade)

About the rough texture:

If it is because of drybrushing it's your choice to stop drybrushing or not :P

If it is not, than apply thinner layers :P

I hope you can do something with this advice :)

Yeah, I drybrush my initial layers of boltgun metal overtop the black undercoat - I kinda like the scratchy texture; makes it seem a little battle worn and busted up and just a little dingy. Marines that go into battle and come out spit-shined confuse me.

I'll admit that the technique is amateurish, though - do you know a way to keep them roughed-up looking, but with a little more finesse?

wow i really like the purple on the armor in that first picture, it looks REALLY good, the highlights and all... FANTASTICO! also the lightning on the shield looks really nice too

also i like the green purity seals, gives me interesting ideas...

Good job on the model! The pose is striking and takes up enough room to look commander-like. To rough up metal I apply an Ogryn Flesh or Black wash, then highlight mithril and apply one more shading of Black or Ogryn.

Cool deal! I'll try that as soon as I get a spare few hours to paint

:]
