Desikratis
Hello guys. I've just finshed a mildly converted Worl Eater Possesed Marine using new types of paints and techniques than i have been using before, and i would like you to judge if it's any good. I've writen down which paints I have used, in which order I have used them, and how I have used them, and you are welcome to make remarks on how I could better my painting-fu. Of course... general praise and adoration is fine to :D . http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/ss185/Desikratis-album/P8110431-Kopia.jpg http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/ss185/Desikratis-album/P8110432-Kopia.jpg http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/ss185/Desikratis-album/P8110429-Kopia2.jpg Here's how I painted the bugger: Armour: Single basecoat (Not extremely thick) of Scab Red after I've primed it with Chaos Black Spray. Red Gore over almost 2/3 of the Scab Red area (Starting at the top and going down), and a thinner line of Red Gore at the bottom. 1/1 mix of Red Gore/Blood Red over 1/2 of the Red Gore, and then watered down Red Gore at the line between the Mix and the Pure Red Gore. Blood Red over 1/2-2/3 of the Red Gore/Blood Red mix, Watered down mix at the line between the Pure Blood Red and the Mix. Blazing Orange/Skull White over 1/2-1/3 of the Blood Red, Watered down Blood Red at (alright... you get the drill). A thin line of 1/1 mix of Blazing Orange along the utmost edges. Maybe some watered Blazing Orange at it's edge. Skull White with a tiny hint of Blazing Orange in at one of the edges of the White-Orange highlight. Trim: Bestial Brown. Cover most of the Brown with a layer of Snakebite Leather. 1/1 Snakebite and Bubonic Brown makes up the first real highlight. Bubonic Brown continues the highlight. Bleached bone with a hint of Bubonic Brown. Pure Skull White. (The skin isn't intersesting at all, if anybody got some swell ideas on painting skin your ideas are most welcome). At the moment i'm especially looking for ways to better my NMM, which isn't that great. But, as said, any tips that might better my paiting would be great! Thats about it, I'll might post some of my other figures, and better pictures, but this is it for now. C&C are always welcome. Cheers! The Damned
Whoa, love the deep contrast. It reminds me of a painting style that was popular many ah years ago. Saw it alot in old golden daemon comps. Got any links to more of your work?
