NAVARRO
Hi folks, summer time vacations is here and I took the freetime to work on something really fun just for myself this time. For some time I wanted to make a small terminator heavy deathguard army, so I started sculpting some normal Plague marines. Without further delay I introduce you, The Worm Lords. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f59/NAVARROpt/WORM%20LORDS/worm-lords-banner.jpg THis one was done many months ago for a project that never really took off so he was kind of the first to be done. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f59/NAVARROpt/WORM%20LORDS/Plague-Marine-Cystic-Fibros.jpg These next 3 Plague marines were done just recently in my vacations. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f59/NAVARROpt/WORM%20LORDS/Plague-Marine-Emesis.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f59/NAVARROpt/WORM%20LORDS/Plague-Marine-Cholerae.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f59/NAVARROpt/WORM%20LORDS/Plague-Marine-Botulus.jpg And the familly picture http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f59/NAVARROpt/WORM%20LORDS/Plague-Marine-squad.jpg To finish this squad I need to make 3 more Plague marines, 2 of them with meltas... and a Rhino. So this is my last mini project and I'm having lots of fun with it. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175758-the-worm-lords/ Share on other sites

NAVARRO
Thanks for the feedback guys its apreciated. I'm a long time member yet I ussually dont post since my main armies are anti powerarmour xenos... but this last incursion on nurgle grounds will hopefully change that. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175758-the-worm-lords/#findComment-2077329 Share on other sites
Attea
Excellent work sir! They're looking preety good...in a rotting nurglish way... Your sculpting skills never cease to amaze me. I've seen your work in some other more "local region" foruns and I've to say that's just a shame your not on the Emperor side scultping some good ol'nice power armour! My only critique would be that the legs on the 3rd Marine seem a bit too long. I dont know if its from the photo or from the Fantasy Chaos warrior legs you've used. But that little thing doesn't undermenish the work at all. Are you going to paint them? RagingGriffon
I hope when you say these are your "last mini project" you don't mean you are retiring! These look phenomenal and their name is awesome. I can't wait to see paint on these guys. NAVARRO
My bad I confused last with latest ehehe... I'm portuguese... And yes Im going to paint the squad after I done the last 3 minis and rhino for it. :tu: More pics of The Worm Lords, this time its all still very WIP. So I have 2 ikea displays furniture side by side, they almost look like they are just one big display, although they have a major problem since you cant customize the shelfs height... so space between them is huge and really a wast of space. After thinking about it I decided also to make a big display base for my Worm Lords that goes from on furniture to the other, one of them I started converting a landing pad so this is like a extra free shelf for the display, yay! I made pillars bigger and landing pad widder... yet all still in early wip but you can see how its all going to be on the displays ( I need some bastions)... also covered imperial eagles with nurgly things... Heres some wip pics of the splitted display im builting http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f59/NAVARROpt/WORM%20LORDS/display-wip.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f59/NAVARROpt/WORM%20LORDS/display-wip2.jpg Oh and a comparative pic of marines sizes http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f59/NAVARROpt/WORM%20LORDS/Scale-pic.jpg And a wip of the melta marine head just as a teaser. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f59/NAVARROpt/WORM%20LORDS/Melta-wip.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175758-the-worm-lords/#findComment-2077711 Share on other sites
The Damned
Great work, love the extended torso on the first one. It gives him a real dynamic pose. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175758-the-worm-lords/#findComment-2077808 Share on other sites

NAVARRO
Hi again, after a crazy week of real life work I finally got the time to unpack some goodies that arrived at my mailbox. With a new bastion and a defense line I started bulking up the nurgle display dock... I did a smaller tower to work as the plataform elevator for the dock. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f59/NAVARROpt/WORM%20LORDS/display-wip4.jpg Here's a wip view of the all thing planned( I do need to add lots of stuff before I call it done) http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f59/NAVARROpt/WORM%20LORDS/display-wip5.jpg And I painted the interior of the bunker on top of the platform because even with the ceiling atached theres some grids there that let you look just a tiny bit inside... No one will notice it but I will hehe. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f59/NAVARROpt/WORM%20LORDS/display-wip3.jpg Thats all for now... Only thing annoying is the ton of eagles on these kits, that I need to cut off, so many of them and, Nurgle dunt laike it! NAVARRO
I sculpt for about 3 o 4 years. And speaking of painting I just finished painting the defense line that will be on the display... I tried to make the exterior sides more dusty and gritty and the insides cleaner and more scratchy. I think I just found the colors combination for my display. Feels good to paint again I havent painted nothing more serious for such a looong time... I think years. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f59/NAVARROpt/WORM%20LORDS/display-Fences.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175758-the-worm-lords/#findComment-2083913 Share on other sites

NAVARRO
Thanks all... I will keep updating Buglands with a nurgle page soon, but for now they are on my photobucket account... Ok time for things get nutty concept wise... I always wanted to make crazy rhinos so this is my chance to have fun with them... the Rhino for my first squad is done and its like a huge fumigaror of nurgly gas, made a little nurgle acolit to distribute the nurgle smell to all that venture to get close to this rhino... I know, I know... many if not all will hate this because its neither just a realistic troop armored vehicle or a so common possessed chaos rhino with lots of bubbles and blisters and things. What can I say, Its the way I see fantasy industrial rhinos and I'm really going deep on my fraked up concepts ideas ehehe. Let the Fumigation begin. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f59/NAVARROpt/WORM%20LORDS/Rhino-wip.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f59/NAVARROpt/WORM%20LORDS/Rhino-wip2.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f59/NAVARROpt/WORM%20LORDS/Rhino-wip3.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175758-the-worm-lords/#findComment-2095845 Share on other sites
DuskRaider
Nice... expensive conversion, using that FW Hellhound tank. The only problem I see is the scale... the tank is almost as big as the Rhino itself! Other then that, it's nice, as with the rest of the army.
