please post a picture of your most cliched conversion, and then maybe try to justify it.

 

i'll start off...

 

a simple head swap that i'm sure over 9000 space wolves players have done at one point or another.

justification:

 

the original head on the figure looks like it was sculpted beautifully. then they tried to cast it while the GS was still wet and it got squished and distorted and tilted back and basically looked like he'd been run over by the ugly truck, set on fire, and someone tried to put it out with a screwdriver.

it had to go.

lightning claws and THIS IS FENRIS!! kinda made wolverine an all-too obvious choice, but i wanted to get him painted asap and was too lazy be bothered thinking of any other heads/hair styles.

 

despite this it took me three tries before i had a sculpt i was happy with.

Where did you get that head from?

I'd say that's one of the 5 regular SW Head that we get on the Wolf Sprue with some GS on it.

I've got a Logan (as in Wolverine) conversion in my ranks aswell, some 2 years olf, based on a regular BC. Bottom right.

However, I gotta say again (been over this in my WIP thread :P) that I don't find the new Wolf Guard Ugly at all, in fact, I find him quite Awesome! :(
