nemisis force claws

Right, I know that nemisis force weapons can come in all types and I was wondering if I could use nemisis force lightning claws on a Grand Master.

 

My main question is if I used them you I gain the re-roll on wounds if I paid for the lightning claws from the armoury and still be able to filed them as nemisis force weapons.

You can't get the benefit of 2 different special weapons. So, you could give him a lightning claw and the force weapon, but would have to decide which to use when fighting.

no, I mean nemisis force lightning claws. The nemisis force weapon is the lightning claws

For game purposes it still follows the rules for a nemesis force weapon only. You're free to model it as a lightning claw, but no you won't gain a re-roll to wound. The bit about nemesis force weapons coming in all shapes and sizes is just to let you model them differently if you want to, the rules stay the same.

 

And no, you can't then buy a lightning claw and get a re-rolling nemesis force weapon, as JamesI said, you can't get the benefit of two special weapons at once.

The Nemesis Force Weapon is not an upgrade, it is a weapon in it's own right. Therefore, with these claws, they may work as a NFW or lightning claws. Personally, I would stick with the NFW.

Modelling-wise, you could have him with twin-LC's, but simply model a storm bolter on the back of one gauntlet (or a bolter in each gauntlet). That way, you get the look you're after, but for game purposes it's a NFW+storm bolter.
