Galadren Posted August 16, 2009 Share Posted August 16, 2009 So I'm building my first army and working on my first army list and I have a question regarding Assault Marines. In reading other peoples lists I've seen mention occasionally of people bringing to few Troops along for things like holding objectives. So I was wondering: Assault Marines being infantry, even though they are classified as Fast Attack, can they hold objectives like normal Tactical Squads? Jonas Stromclaw Posted August 16, 2009 Share Posted August 16, 2009 The criteria for holding objectives is that it must be a troops choice and not a vehicle such as a rhino or chimera. Assault squads fall under fast attack (unless you play blood angels) and therefore cannot claim objectives. They can contest objectives though, something that they excell at due to their mobility.
