thade
Very simple question: when you take a land raider as heavy support (but not as a dedicated transport for a unit that can choose one, e.g. termies) can you start the game off with a unit (any unit elligible to ride in a transport) loaded into it? For instance, could I take the land raider as heavy support and start the game with a devestator or tac squad riding in it? Brother_Kluft
Yes you may. The restriction about troops not starting inside applies only to dedicated transports (and units that the transport is not dedicated to). The_Crippster
If you chose to mount a Tactical Squad in it, could you deploy it in your deployment phase in a Dawn of War scenario? Or is this only transports that are specifically dedicated? Frosty the Pyro
A non-dedicated land raider is always heavy suport. If you cant play a dev squad, you cant play the raider. Dedicated transports are the same as the unit that it was baught with (so dedicated land raiders are elites!) Short answer, no. Some armies can take dedicated raiders in other slots (BT as troops and WH/DH as HQ). angronn
Non-dedicated transports can't have units embarked inside them at deployment, by RAW. However, I would allow it by RAI.
