Imperialis_Dominatus
Man, I'm supposed to be saving for school... Also, heh. Do we have enough Space Hulk threads yet? Forseti
IMO 1 for each chapter is fine, unless you want everyone from each chapter spamming a single thread on how they want to/how they will convert the models to suit SW/DA/BT/etc.. Imperialis_Dominatus
Instead of spamming 8 threads (not including anyone who wants to KAP-TOOR these models FOR CHAY-OSS-EH!) about the same thing? :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/176146-space-hulk/page/2/#findComment-2082633 Share on other sites
Hfran Morkai
Well I think theres rumors of plastic WG in TDA so I'm waiting to see how they look before buying Space Hulk From what I can see it does say "while supplies last" so it looks like the rumours are true and this is going to be a limited release. Wait and you probably won't be able to get one. Ordered mine couple of hours ago,.......hav'nt you guys heard of razor blades ! The type(Gillette) your old dad stuck in his old razor.Careful use of these babies can easily remove details with very little damage.BE VERY CAREFUL,ONE SLIP AND IT'LL GO THRU YOUR SKIN LIKE A POWER SWORD! GOD bless ......................V I wouldn't recommend that, most of the details are very, VERY blood angels specific, to remove all the BA iconography would basically bring you back down to stock Terminators, not really worth it IMO. If you want cheap Termies get the Black Reach guys, I know I will be keeping these guys just as they are and maybe using them as the starting point of a Blood Angels army. Have you seen the sheer number of blood drop gems covering these guys from head to toe? Holy cow. I don't think its the iconography though thats got us excited, obviously BA players wil be delgihted but for me its the poses of those guys. Brunensteiner
Im from Australia and its 165 dollars here-a bit too much for my liking. Id have preferred a box including the tyranid force, rules etc and you bring your own terminator squad. Not grumbling,Im just saying at that price Im much more likely to pick up SH from E Bay and use my Wolf Gaurd Termies. I have a soft spot for Space Crusade-that was the game which got me into 40k. TeamLando
Dunno if I've said this before but, in Sweden Space Hulk goes for 750:- SEK which is what any regular Swede pays for a brand new Video Game for the PS3/360. Yes, that is insane, and our countrys economy sucks big time when it comes to entertainment. But thus, I feel the price for this ultra detailed, fine and crammed box is OK :P Bought and booked it today. Grimfoe
I have preordered my copy and intend to not paint or glue the termies till after Codex Space Wolf and new wolf releases and then maybe make hybrid conversions from Space Hulk and Wolf Guard termies. Looks awesome - I still have a complete 2nd edition. It looks like the board sections are the same but with a little few extra colours and few new rooms. It is a bl00dy awesome set in every sense of the word! Mjol I'm not sure the board sections will be compatible. They appear to be the same shape, but the new board looks thicker to me. Oh well OT, on a sidenot, I payed 910 SEK for everything i orderer today, that was Space Hulk and Space Marine Causulties (160 SEK) so yeah, I guess Australia sucks the most, but atlest you've got warm summers :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/176146-space-hulk/page/2/#findComment-2082819 Share on other sites
Forseti
LOL we have warm winters too XD *wishes it snowed here* But yeah, it's way too much for me to buy just to spend hours cutting off 90% of the details and remodelling my own just for the better poses >.> Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/176146-space-hulk/page/2/#findComment-2082832 Share on other sites

Grey Mage
I cant believe thats 100 bucks. Even with all that plastic and everything.... Theres just no way I can afford it, and with a limited run Itll be overwith before I finally can. BTW for those who are comparing thats the price of TWO new videogames. greese_m0nkey
I don't care if it is $100 this is the game that started me playing 40k in the first place. I am hoping I can get my step son into playing with the copy I just put on order. The Cool models are just a boness. I almost spent the same amount on a used copy of the original the other day on ebay but got out bid. Glad I did because now I will have the new one complete with all the minies. Kveld-Ulf
My girlfriend ordered SH for herself and the Genestealers and I ordered one for myself. I'm gonna keep the Blood Angels, but I may well sell one kit's BA on ebay and get some Deathwing and Wolf Guard so I can play a massive game of this. As for the BA, for a stand-alone board game, I honestly don't mind. The minis look gorgeous and sometimes its nice to use something a little different. I'm a hardcore Wolf and have been playing them since the first info on them came out in the Rogue Trader days, but for those models I'm more than happy to keep them Blood Angels. From the looks of it, this is set up less as a Warhammer 40k game and more of a sunday night family boardgame session. At least if the last edition of SH is anything to go by. That in mind, stop complaining about cross-compatibility and look at it as a self-enclosed and separate entity from your normal game. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/176146-space-hulk/page/2/#findComment-2083917 Share on other sites

kittenofdeath
just had my own two hands on the new space hulk minis, and they are nice, one or two parts a peice and verry soft plastic, theres allot of BA icons on em, but if your any good with a modeling knife it shouldnt be to hard to get rid of them, as long as you dont mind a few purity seals that wouldnt be worth the effort Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/176146-space-hulk/page/2/#findComment-2084951 Share on other sites
Grimmwulf
I would really love to order space hulk. Mostly for the awesome genestealers which would look really good in my nid army. but on the other hand with the new sw codex just a few months away i always have to think about what wolfy goodness i might buy for the price of space hulk  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/176146-space-hulk/page/2/#findComment-2085013 Share on other sites
greese_m0nkey
Ok just got home and found my copy of Space hulk on the door step. The models are very finely detailed and to 40k scale. I cant wait to get them together and start playing. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/176146-space-hulk/page/2/#findComment-2097562 Share on other sites
Grimfoe
My copy came today. Just got done assembling the Termies. All in all, pretty nice models. A little detail is lost from the molding, but nothing a little paint won't cure. When you assemble them, don't be shy about cutting the tabs a little shorter, they were too long on my set. Don't try to dry fit the models either, as they're difficult to get apart once you do. Good luck. Grimfoe
No. Not the way they are cast. You'd have to modify them somewhat, and even then movement would be limited.
