Dusktiger
so! this is my color scheme atm: done with reaper master series emerald green, and adamantium black. both are pearl paints. trim and squishy bits are black, and shining gold emblems. ergo, they're a 5th company unit. cause there's too many 2nd and 3rd companies out there. so far, the name i've come up with for my successors is Bishops of Fire. anyone else got suggestions/alternates? i love my flamey weapons so here's what i got so far (dont mind the minor lil goof ups the camera catches; im nearsighted so i dont notice them on the table): Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/176369-a-salamander-successor-army/ Share on other sites
dood515
I like the use of black instead of total green but you might want to taking pictures infront of a white or at least lighter background. Dusktiger
UPDATE: so i decided to post mass-pics of what's been done so far. i'm posting both a with-flash, and without-flash version of the shots since the paint's a pearl paint and changes appearance under different lighting. hopefully that does a better job of showing the effect on the minis. so on top of making my successor army, i wanted "some" variation on the field when i play apoc lists, so as you'll notice in the back of the shelf, there's a squad of imperial fists terminators, and a 10 man squad of crimson fist vanguard veterans (5 metal, 5 plastic). i made that squad with 5 plasma pistols and 5 power swords intermixed and it causes much ouch to my opponents when i field it. sometimes i change their loadout to all powerswords when i play mechanized enemies. 40 power attacks on a charge hurts! and here's my vehicles Finally, a shot of the whole collection as it stands Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/176369-a-salamander-successor-army/#findComment-2087040 Share on other sites
