JMcL63
Solid above average tabletop paintjobs. Nice work! If I have a complaint it's that the poses of the marines are a bit static, but that's really just reaching for things about which to be critical. The rhino interior, the dread and the chaplain are my favourites BTW. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/176397-pics-of-my-latest-space-wolves/page/2/#findComment-2086157 Share on other sites

Skalver
Very nice clean painting. About the only time I saw that head with the huge shock of hair and thought it looked good. lunchb0x
Thanks yall appreciate the comments from other Brothers!!! As to how I paint the Armour colour, a bit lengthy...I might just do a photo how -to. As for the scrolls; 1. Black base coat 2. snakebite leather (or equivalent ) , applying this helps with a smooth cover and works well with the yellow in... 3. Bone white ( or equivalent ) , apply about 2-3 coats...I use the vallejo colour and its a bit watered down. 4. Devlin mud , watered down to 3-1, with 1 drop of thinner, again vellejo. 5. About 3 total washes, letting time to dry between each one. 6. on the last wash, a mild wet blending only on the ridges or brightest parts. Is there anything else yall have questions about I would be happy to answer. Keep up the good painting fight, FOR RUSS FOR THE PAINTED ARMY!!!! Durfast Spiritwolf
Top notch for table quality. I see that your dread suffers from the usual transfer problem - have you tried putting them on over a coat of varnish so that you can't see the film that surrounds the transfer? Really love the interior of the Rhino and your work on the helmet eyepieces :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/176397-pics-of-my-latest-space-wolves/page/2/#findComment-2086674 Share on other sites
lunchb0x
Yes I normally do not have a problem with decals, it started once I switched to testors sealer...so now I do put down a coat of high gloss then the decal. Only decal I had that problem with was the dread shoulder/chest, the leg had no problem. EzE
How thin of paint do you use for painting table top quality minis like these? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/176397-pics-of-my-latest-space-wolves/page/2/#findComment-2087620 Share on other sites

TeamLando
Really nice, nice and clean colors, and just enough details to feel detailed. I like the interior of the RHino too, I also put a helm on thsat bench, guess that bench feels like a helm bench :D The only thing that stings my eye is the green power swords. Green is too much Nurgle to feel normal close to a space marine :) The Wolf Priest was especially nice. The green compliments the grey-blue very well. Also as the marines wearing helms have green eyes and the plasma weps are green it only makes sense to have the power weapons have a green glow as well....just my 2 cents. TeamLando
Color compliment wiseI ain't got nothing against them, they go good with the green eyes and the rest, as you say. it's just that, green power weapons on space wolves.. nah, Too Nurgle, too less blue for my taste  But colourwise it's a ncie touch, yup. KJB
Really good stuff. Only thing for me is whilst the chaplain is very well painted, he doesn't look much like a Space Wolf... CrazyIvan
Really crisp work - it's actually nice to see a clean, straightforward painting style. And the yellow on the shoulder pads is outstanding.
